Power transmission tower, Overhead Lines

Among the priority areas of Omsk Electromechanical Plant activities is the manufacture of metal supports for overhead lines and power transmission lines. 

Supports are one of the main design elements of the power transmission lines responsible for the attachment and suspension of electrical wires at a certain distance from one another and from the ground. They look as the spatial frame assembled from the rolled steel using bolted connections.

Depending on the wire suspension method the supports are divided into two main groups:

  • intermediate supports on which the wires are fastened in the retaining clamps;
  • anchor type supports designed for the tensioning of the wires, on these supports the wres are fixed in the dead-end clamps.
