Norilsk Nickel MMC and Omsk EMP discussed cooperation prospects.

On April 27 representatives of Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company – a subsidiary company of Norilsk Nickel Mining Metallurgical Company visited Omsk.

The Visit was held in the framework of the cooperation programme of non-for-profit partnership Siberian Machine-Building a member of which being Omsk EMP, with major corporate customers in high-technological machine-building area.

The delegation also included deputy minister of industry, transport and innovative technologies of Omsk oblast Mr. Vitaly Savenkov and deputy director of non-for-profit partnership Siberian Machine-Building Mr. Dmitry Novoseltsev.

During the meeting possible cooperation options in terms of the Company product delivery for Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company in the framework of the grid upgrade project were discussed.

Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company  supplies electricity, heat and water to five cities, two settlements and all the companies of Norilsk industrial area. The power system is territorially and technologically isolated from the Unified Energy System which, together with the severe climatic conditions puts special requirements to the reliability and survivability. 72.9 % of NTEC products is consumed by Norilsk Nickel MMC and its subsidiary and related companies.
