New Technologies for the Arctic Region

Omsk Electromechanical Plant took part in the International Exhibition of High Technologies and Machines for the Arctic Region, Siberia and the Far East. The Company presented high-technology structures which may be operated in the severe Arctic conditions.

More than 200 Russian and international companies participated in VTTA-Omsk 2015 Exhibition held in Omsk on October 7–8, 2015. The exhibition focus was hi-tech equipment and new technologies designed for the resource mastering of the Extreme North and Arctic regions.

Joist- web steel supports for the power transmission lines presented by Omsk Electromechanical Plant are designed for the application in populated and unpopulated areas of wind load class I-V and in glaze-ice areas class I-V with the design temperature of the coldest five-day period down to minus 65˚C. The hi-tech structures manufactured by Omsk EMP have found a wide application for the implementation of infrastructure and oil/gas industry development projects and have already been successfully operated in the north of Russia.

Apart from the main exhibition the Company representatives took part in the round-table session with Gazprom representatives during which the progress in the Roadmap implementation and methodological approaches to import-replacement programme fulfillment were discussed.
